Launching- KEEP’s Emerging Leaders Mentorship Fellowship

The Kids’ Educational Engagement Project (KEEP Liberia) is thrilled to announce the launch of its new program, the Emerging Leaders Mentorship Fellowship Program.

This fellowship will run for two years, starting in March 2025, and will target 25-30 youths between the ages of 10 and 19. We will be recruiting students from both public and private schools across Montserrado, with plans to expand the fellowship in Year 2 to include students from other parts of Liberia.

Year One of the Program: Year one will focus on strengthening participants’ skills and knowledge in the following areas:

  • Communication & Public Speaking Skills
  • Networking & Relationship Building
  • Digital Literacy & Social Media Etiquette & Safety
  • Goal Setting & Personal Development Planning
  • Community Engagement & Civic Responsibility
  • Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy
  • Civic Education

Program Highlights: Our fellows will also benefit from:

  • Exposure visits to historical and landmark sites around Liberia
  • Internship opportunities with KEEP Liberia and other partner organizations
  • Participation in a joint community project
  • Certification upon completion
  • Opportunities to network with like-minded youths

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age Range: 10-19 years old
  • Grade Level: 4th-11th grade
  • Must have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least “B” or 83% in their last school assessment
  • Must be based in Montserrado County
  • Must demonstrate evidence of leadership qualities
  • Must possess a genuine interest in community development, social responsibility, and civic duties
  • Must be available two Saturdays a month between 10 AM and 1 PM for sessions
