In 2015 with the reopening of schools in Liberia post Ebola imminent, the Ministry of Education, along with development actors, developed a school safety protocol for all schools in Liberia.
For the last 6 months, KEEP has partnered with ActionAid Liberia to provide WASH in Schools (WinS) in over 60 communities in Liberia.
The month of February was considered Oral Health Month and we provided trainings and awareness to school kids as well as oral hygiene supplies like tooth brushes and toothpaste.
Recently we also partnered with another local organisation called Smiles For Liberia and provided on site dental treatment/assessment to over 200 children in several communities.
For all of these children, this was their first professional dental care treatment and the team left feeling fulfilled.
Thanks to our support partners ActionAid Liberia and to the Smiles For Liberia team. Thanks Ma Cia of Smiles , Dr. Ajavon and Assistant Minister Yuhiko Amnon.
