Monrovia- Blue Keys Association in collaboration with Kick for Christ last Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, made a generous donation of 12 cartoons of assorted school books and school supplies to the Kids’ Educational Engagement Project (KEEP) in Liberia.
The donation comes as KEEP is nearing completion of its second reading room in Liberia.
“This donation is really timely,” says Brenda Brewer-Moore, founder of KEEP who heaped praise on the donating organizations for coming to the aid of KEEP’s effort to transform lives and increasing reading awareness among children. “We are in the process of embarking on a massive social media drive to ask for more books for the rooms, this is really a windfall, we are truly grateful.”
The donation included story books, school supplies like dustless chalk, pencils, crayons, flashcards, etc.
Both Blue Keys Association and its partner, Kick for Christ are involved with touching lives & giving hope to those in need. Kick for Christ a US base organization Founded by pro soccer players Leo Gibson and Worteh Sampson with a mission “To give back and help provide for the children of Missouri, Kansas and Liberia”.
The organizations have in recent years made separate donations of school and educational supplies to needy communities.
Blue Key’s offers a message of hope, enshrined in the organization’s motto: “You’re my brother, you’re my sister and based on positive outlook which aims to work with people and communities through life changing programs with a willing mind and humble heart to serve. “We just couldn’t sit without being a part of this great effort, for once it’s not politics coming from a young Liberian, but positive action to make our country better.”
A lot of youngsters in communities across Liberia are facing mounting challenges in preparation for returning to school.
