The KEEP Liberia team recently gathered for their annual staff retreat, a three-day event held in the serene surroundings of Grand Cape Mount County. With 26 dedicated employees in attendance, the retreat aimed to reflect on past achievements and plan the future direction of the organization.
Over the course of the retreat, the team worked diligently on developing the draft of KEEP’s five-year strategic plan for 2025-2029. This comprehensive plan will guide the organization’s efforts to promote literacy, advocacy and awareness, and economic livelihood across Liberia.
A key focus of the retreat was revising KEEP’s SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis and PESTLE (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal, Environmental) analysis. By identifying these critical factors, the team is better positioned to navigate challenges and leverage opportunities in the coming years.
The retreat also provided an opportunity to review and enhance KEEP’s core programs. Emphasis was placed on innovative strategies to promote literacy, drive impactful advocacy and awareness campaigns, and support economic livelihood initiatives. These programs are essential to KEEP’s mission of empowering Liberian communities through education and sustainable development.
The retreat was not only a time for strategic planning but also for team building and strengthening the bonds among employees. Each member left feeling motivated and ready to implement the strategic initiatives discussed.
KEEP Liberia remains committed to its mission, and this retreat has set the stage for impactful and transformative work in the years to come.
