Work schedule:                     Mondays-Saturdays (48 hours)

Duty Station:                          Montserrado, with frequent travels to counties of operation

Background on KEEP: KEEP is a registered and accredited national Non-profit Organization that works at the grassroots level in 4 counties in Liberia (Grand Gedeh, Gbarpolu, Rivercess & Montserrado) and focuses on providing various support in the education sector, particularly at the primary school level. KEEP also engages in women & girls’ empowerment, economic livelihood, access to justice, promotion of rights in schools, strengthening youth education through computer and reading literacy programmes, child sponsorship and advocacy.  

Project Summary:

The Liberia Foundational Skills Activity (Liberia FSA) is a five-year program (2024-2029) financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in collaboration with Chemonics International, ltd., (Chemonics). The program will support Liberia to increase system efficiencies so more children, specially the marginalized and vulnerable, master foundational reading and social skills through schooling that is safe, relevant and promotes well-being.

Job Summary:

Based in Monrovia (but with frequent travels to project counties), this role will oversee and guide the implementation of all activities under LFSA project.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead staff in planning and development of all project activities including development of concept notes, budgets, workplan, etc.
  • Supervise all project specific staff.
  • Participate in meetings, networking and liaison with counterparts at line ministries and local government.
  • Produce project specific reports as required.
  • Attend consultative meetings with relevant coalitions and forums and ministries to represent KEEP and provide feedback summary to Executive Director.
  • Supports with Fundraising strategies as needed to source for funding for KEEP’s core programs.
  • Perform any other duty as may be required.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Project Management or Education.
  • Must have at least 2-3 years’ experience managing a development project, and supervision.
  • Must be proficient in Ms. Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must know how to ride a motorcycle or be willing to learn to ride one within 3 months of employment.
  • Available to work at flexible schedule that includes evenings and sometimes weekends and or holidays.
